Naomi Lee, and coach Tae Tyrrel, were rewarded on Friday night with a bronze medal at the Gymnastics World Cup held at Hisense Arena, Melbourne last week! Following on from her bronze medal in an International event in Massilia, France last November.

Naomi trains at Woden Valley Gymnastics Club and has been coached by Tae Tyrrel since 2014. She was selected to attend the World Cup to compete on Vault and after the qualifying event on Wednesday 22nd February, was ranked in third place going into the final. Naomi maintained her position in the finals event to take away a bronze medal for Australia!

When asked of her experience at the World Cup, Naomi reported that 'it was fantastic event and made even better being able to compete in front of a home crowd!' Naomi has set her sights on the World Championships and also the Commonwealth Games, which will be held on the Gold Coast in 2018.

Coach Tae Tyrrel was 'ecstatic with the results, it was unexpected and above expectations! Naomi is well on track to be competitive at the World Championships.'
