Gymnastics ACT Statement regarding updated Federal Government restrictions in response to COVID-19
Gymnastics ACT acknowledges the new restrictions imposed by the Federal Government on Sunday 22 March, 2020 and recognise that this decision will result in gymnastics clubs across the country having to shut their doors for the foreseeable future.
Gymnastics Australia and Gymnastics ACT are working closely to support our clubs and members as they navigate this challenging and difficult time.
We want to acknowledge our clubs, who have gone above and beyond over the last few weeks to keep their gyms open and enjoyable for their members and for adhering to the strict health and hygiene guidelines asked of them.
Gymnastics ACT supports the strict new guidelines imposed the Federal Government as necessary to help keep all Australians safe from Coronavirus Disease.
We encourage our members and the wider community to remain vigilant in their daily lives and continue to listen to what the medical professionals and relevant government authorities are asking of us all.
We will continue to provide updates to our clubs and members via their State and Territory Associations and via our website as news come to hand.
If you have any questions about your specific club or program, contact them directly or follow their social media pages for the most up-to-date information.
If you are a club and have any questions about your specific situation, please contact Gymnastics ACT on +61 3 8698 9727 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our hearts go out to everyone involved in our gymnastics community as we recognise the devastating impact this will have on so many.
