Gymnastics ACT announces new Chief Executive

Gymnastics ACT is delighted to announce the appointment of Sam Brittlebank as its new Chief Executive. 

Previously the General Manager of MYC Gymnastics in Melbourne,  Sam joins the organisation having been in the sport for over 30 years as a gymnast, a coach, a parent and a club administrator. 

"I'm looking forward to getting out into the clubs and meeting with the gymnastics  community in the ACT. Understanding what the needs are the at the grassroots of our sport is fundamental to building the support networks that a healthy state association needs to be able to deliver on as part of its strategic objectives," said Sam.

“I am thankful for the opportunity to lead such a great organisation in the sport that I love. I look forward to working closely with the Gymnastics ACT Board, clubs and the Government to drive positive outcomes for the sport and our members.”  

In announcing the appointment, Gymnastics ACT President Megan Moss said that Sam is the right person to lead the organisation with his wealth of knowledge and experience of the sport and his key ability to understand the needs of clubs, members and stakeholders. 

“This is an important time for our organisation as we look to build on the popularity and growth of the sport in the region whilst also embedding a culture which focuses onempowering our members to enjoy their time in the sport,” says Megan. 

“On behalf of the Board and I, we look forward to working with Sam as we lay the foundations for the next stage of gymnastics in Territory.” 

Sam will commence officially in the role on Thursday 30 June 2022.
